About Pylon.

Our mission.

Give doctors time to practice medicine.

Patients need time to explain what's wrong, and clinicians need time to investigate. Too often, neither gets what they need. We're building a primary care practice that makes time for both.

The people behind Pylon.

Ted Dziuba

Founder & CEO

Ted’s reason for founding Pylon is personal. As a patient of Dr. Mills, he experienced care that began with listening, followed by testing and treatment that changed how he felt. He wants more people to have that experience.

Years earlier, Ted lost his brother to an undiagnosed heart condition at 23. He still asks why his brother’s high blood pressure at that age didn’t prompt a deeper investigation. That question informs what he wants Pylon to become: a practice that takes the time to ask why.

A software engineer and entrepreneur, Ted co-wrote OpenEMR, an open-source electronic medical records system, at age 16.

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Steven Mills believes primary care should give patients time to explain what’s wrong and physicians time to investigate it. Throughout his career, he has questioned a model that compresses care into 15-minute visits and leaves patients feeling unwell despite being told their labs are normal.

As Pylon’s Chief Medical Officer and a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner®, he brings that approach to men’s hormone management and primary care. He considers symptoms, medical history, and lab results together, with an emphasis on prevention and understanding what may be contributing to a patient’s concerns.
